Year: Sophomore
Second time participant in Jamaica Service Trip.

Being my second trip to Jamaica, I have been able to experience a lot of what the country has to offer.  But this year especially, I have been able to connect myself closer to the Jamaican culture.  Through this trip, I was able to find my center.  I realized I am capable of completing tasks that are way past my comfort zone by seeing how well the Jamaican people adapt to their surroundings, and how they are able to keep such a level head throughout all of their hardships.

Institution: Moravian College
Year: Senior
First time participant in Jamaica Service Trip.

This trip has not only been one of charity, but a learning experience as well.  Besides picking up some Patwa (Jamaican dialect) while I was here, I have enjoyed learning more about the great culture of Jamaica.  It feels great to give back to the community, and I hope that I have made a difference in the lives of the school children.  Through meeting others, learning, and working in this great country, I have bettered myself and the community of Whitehouse.
